Susan Zide Safra, M.Ed. has more than 22 years experience as an educator, author, lecturer, and the owner of Educational Pursuit. Susan has successfully supported the educational needs for over 10,000 students, from those seeking admission to state colleges, Ivy League universities, or trade schools. She is also passionate about working with those who have various learning disabilities, special needs, or test anxiety. Her approach to teaching is simple: she treats every student as if they were her own. Whether using sensory strategies to teach an SAT or ACT class, helping students find the perfect college, or running a massive college tour, Susan always tries to identify the student’s individual strengths to succeed.
Susan is also extremely involved in her commitment to the community as a Business Partner and School Advisory Council member with many schools in the tri-county area as well as a member of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling and The College Board. With a Master’s Degree in Education from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from University of Florida, Susan incorporates both of her strengths into everything at Educational Pursuit. She published Beyond Words in 2010 which has been used by thousands of students throughout the nation as the premier for vocabulary instruction method, and she writes a monthly educational blog to help promote knowledge across the borders of all curriculum. Besides balancing her career with her family life, Susan loves chocolate, tiaras, anything pink, and is addicted to her iPhone.
